Just had a rather dodgy chap ring me up, sporting a distinct Indian accent, claiming to be from BT. I thought, why not, as they are my service provider, so I let him have his say. Before long, he began rattling on about how my broadband had been compromised and insisted that he required complete access to my computer to sort things out. He proceeded to dish out some rather suspicious instructions, including telling me to download some dodgy software. I wasn't having any of it, so I politely declined and hung up. It was obvious he was up to something fishy.

Someone called saying they were from BT, threatening to cut off my internet. I told them I’m not a BT customer and ended the call straight away.
