I just got a call from a guy with a very strong Indian accent claiming he was from BT. Since BT is my internet provider, I decided to hear him out. He said that my internet connection had been hacked and he needed to access my laptop to "sort it out." Then he began telling me to download some dodgy software. I wasn’t having any of it and quickly cut the call. Definitely felt like a scammer trying to pull a fast one.

Someone called saying they were from BT, threatening to cut off my internet. I told them I’m not a BT customer and ended the call straight away.
