Got a text saying it was from the DWP about cold weather heating payments. Told straight away it’s a scam coz if it was legit, the sender would show as DWP or HMRC, not some random number. I clicked the link tho, and it asked for my bank details for a payment of £1. No way DWP would ask for money like that! I shut it down right away. Definitely a trick to steal your bank info!

I looked up the number on WhatsApp and it came up as a business account with the name Joe Lee. They didn’t leave a voicemail, so I’m guessing it’s nothing urgent, probably just some sort of scam.
