Looks like another typical scam call trying to swipe your personal info. I got a call from someone with an Indian accent saying they were from Three, warning me my SIM card would be blocked in three days. I kinda listened because I used to have Three once. But now I’m with a completely different provider, nothing to do with Three. I told her that straight away. The woman was pretty smooth though, insisting all networks are linked and my new provider had been getting loads of complaints, so they’re supposedly blocking cards and sending new SIMs out. I didn’t want to hand over any details without checking with my current provider first. When I suggested this might be a scam, she offered to send an email to prove they were legit. Well, they didn’t even have my email address! I refused to give it to them. A quick phone call to my current provider later confirmed everything was fine and no one had the power to block my card. Honestly, it annoyed me that I even told them which company I’m with - that was info I shouldn’t have shared. My advice? Don’t pick up calls from mobile numbers claiming to be your network. If you do, hang up immediately and ring your provider yourself. Real companies don’t call you on your mobile to ask for passwords or personal info. I’m posting this here on every reverse phone number lookup I can find because this scam is proper dodgy. I thought I was sharp but even I almost got drawn in since they pretended to be my old provider. Stay safe, folks.
