Some bloke with a strong Indian accent rang up, said he was from Brookdene or Brookdale Financial or something, and used my wife’s name. He told me she’d supposedly opened a crypto account ages ago that wasn’t active now, and asked if she wanted to start using it again (though I’m pretty sure she never did). In the background there was loads of noise, like a hectic call centre. Seems like just another con, especially with all the reports about calls from 07346 numbers.
