Got a call from someone claiming to be O2, trying to pitch a discount on my plan. I told them I don’t even use O2, and then they switched to trying to sell me a new phone - the usual, iPhone 17 pro max or whatever. When I asked the price, they suddenly wanted to patch me through to another person who sounded way more dodgy than the first. Watch out everyone, these lot aren’t to be trusted.

The phone rang, I picked up and then they just dropped the call. Doesn't seem right at all. I'm definitely going to block this number.

Somebody rang saying they were from O2 and told me my SIM card was old and about to be switched off. The way they spoke was really hard to follow and it all felt pretty dodgy to me.

Phone rang, I picked up, but the reply was super slow - which usually makes me think it’s suspicious. I just stayed quiet, and after a bit, they ended the call. Chances are pretty high this was dodgy!

Got a call supposedly from 3 offering discounts on my contract. When they asked how much I was paying, I pretended I didn’t know, and the lady on the line told me it was £42 (big red flag there since my bill is nowhere near that). Then she said she wanted to sort me out with deals on both my phone and SIM (another red flag because I only have a phone contract, no SIM plan). She then asked for my full name to “apply the discount” - that was the last straw for me, so I just ended the call. I work in customer service and honestly, their approach to GDPR stuff was completely off.

Got a call from someone saying they're with O2, but it felt a bit dodgy to me. They started off all official, but something about it just didn’t sit right. No way I’m giving out any details to these sorts of calls!

Someone just called me pretending to be from Amazon’s customer service. Was obviously a scammer trying to get info. Watch out if you get a call like that!

I got a call from someone saying they were from EE about my contract finishing soon. But when I asked them to prove who they were by confirming my info, they couldn’t. That made it clear straight away it was some kind of scam.
