Got a ring from someone claiming to be ‘Hermes’ saying they tried to deliver a package but missed me. Thing is, I wasn’t waiting for anything and there was no delivery note stuck on my door or anything. Pretty weird.

This morning at 11:46am I got a text claiming to be from Hermes saying they’d tried to deliver a parcel but missed me. It included a link to something like Hermes-parcelgb and gave a tracking number. I clicked the link and started filling out the form to arrange redelivery, but weirdly I was actually in my bedroom at the supposed delivery time and never heard any knocking or the doorbell at either the front or back door. Plus, there was no card left on the mat like you’d expect. The form asked for £2 and my card details to confirm, but luckily I stopped before entering my card as I was busy with something else and didn’t have it on me. Afterwards, I just deleted everything. Planning to ring my local Hermes depot first thing tomorrow to check what’s going on.
