Definitely a scam, just like what others have said. I've gone ahead and blocked the number.

Got a call from a woman with an African accent saying I had some inactive bitcoin mining account. I told her to just donate whatever's there to charity and not ring me back. I've blocked the number now!

This number popped up on my phone at 9:06am on Tuesday, 14th October 2025. Since I didn’t know the number from my caller ID, I let it go through to answerphone. But just as the recorded beep started, the call dropped off. If it was someone legit, they’d have left a message to say who they were, knowing I’d likely call back. I’ve now blocked 07340 711590.

I usually just let the voicemail pick up calls from numbers I don’t recognise. If no message gets left, I just figure it’s another pointless call and block the number straight away.

Checking Who Called Me and reading the feedback makes me think O2 got it right. So, I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number. It’s just never-ending, having to block all these scam and spam calls - honestly, it’s really frustrating.

I didnt know the number so I didnt answer, and it was dead silent for a bit then the call just dropped. Sounds like some kind of voice controlled auto dialler, probably a scam or something dodgy.
