Got a dodgy call from a lady with a strong accent, saying she was from BT. Thing is, I don’t even have an account with them. Could hear loads of noise like from a call centre in the background but it just didn’t feel legit at all.

I got a call from someone claiming they were from BT, saying there was a problem with my internet connection. It didn’t feel right at all, so I told him to delete my info from his system and ended the call straight away. Watch out for these sorts of calls!

My phone, with EE as the provider, showed a fraud alert when this number buzzed me. The guy on the line had a strong accent and claimed he was ringing about my BT broadband, which is odd cos I don't have BT at all! I asked him to give me his phone number but he said he wasn't allowed to, which made me think that number on my display wasn’t legit. I just hung up after that nonsense.

I saw a missed call from this number and tried to ring back, but it just said ‘number not recognised’ when I did.

Some bloke called me, his English was pretty rough and he said he was ringing from BT about someone trying to hack my wifi. When I asked him to prove he was with BT, he just kept saying he was genuine but couldn’t send me any email evidence since he said he didn’t have email access at the moment. I just told him to jog on!
