We picked up the phone and a chap on the other end claimed to be from BT. He insisted that our IP address needed to be altered because our internet had supposedly been compromised. When I asked him to clarify who he was representing, he maintained it was indeed BT and even offered to provide his personal address and phone number! He was quite convincing and warned us that our internet would be disconnected. My husband cheekily told him to go ahead then!
