On the 20th March at about 8.20 in the morning, this number gave me a ring. There was just a quick "beep" sound, then the call ended straight away. Not long before that, a very similar landline number, 04732 854595, called me too. Same thing happened, a beep then they hung up. The numbers were so alike, it’s obvious they’re connected. I’ve gone ahead and blocked both through our t#### box now.

Absolutely awful scam! Some git claiming he was from BT kept bombarding me with questions (which I just made up!). Then he told me to open event viewer, and eventually passed me over to his 'supervisor'. I let them jabber on for about five minutes before I just hung up. They tried saying someone's else using my internet connection, but they clearly had no clue where I actually am. These nasty fraudsters really need to be cracked down on.

Those scammers are just out to trick folks. Best thing to do is avoid talking to them altogether. Hang up straight away and block the number if your phone lets you.

I had a rather unpleasant experience today- they rudely hung up the phone on me, leaving me annoyed. It's unfortunate that there are individuals out there who have such a twisted mindset.

Someone claiming to be from BT reached out to me. After having a brief conversation, I made it clear that I had no intention of turning on my laptop. I promptly ended the call. Surprisingly, the individual had the audacity to call me back using an international number, demanding an explanation for my abrupt end to the conversation.

My wife received a phone call from a number, where the person on the line inquired about her credit cards. When she handed me the phone, I asked the caller where they were calling from. They claimed to be calling from BT, so I followed up by requesting the postcode of their office. However, the person was unable to provide it to me. Consequently, I decided to end the call immediately.

This number has been ringing us twice daily all week long - once in the morning and again after lunch. It’s a ten-digit mobile, supposedly from BT. Like others have said, there’s loads of background noise, like a hectic call centre. We told some bloke called “Jack” off yesterday, but him and his mates just won’t back down. Today one of the women I look after got a phone call saying her internet would be cut off because someone hacked her. It really distressed her and gave her a lot of worry. The bloke on the line had an Indian accent and kept asking about her computer, which she doesn’t even own. Once he realised that, he just hung up and said he’d deal with it himself.

A woman from BT claimed that she was Indian and informed me about issues concerning someone using my Internet for illegal activities. These fake boyfriend scammers are proper idiots. If you're able to, try to mess with them a bit or even better, just put the radio on near your phone and leave it while you make a cuppa or something.

I've been receiving around three to four phone calls every day, mostly resulting in a dead line. However, in the past 24 hours, I have received three calls where someone on the other end claimed to be from BT, mentioning issues with my internet. My response? So I got a phone call from a bloke named 'Jack' who said there was an issue with my internet. Didn’t sit right with me, especially when I started questioning him and he got all rude. It’s the second time I’ve had this sort of call today, both saying they were from BT. Asked where they were calling from and both times they gave me the BT HQ address. Weirdly, this time the number that showed up on 1471 was different from the first call. Definitely feel like something fishy’s going on.

Interestingly, when I was with Talk Talk, similar calls would come in, but they would identify themselves as representatives from Talk Talk. This situation begs the question of who is selling my personal information. I decided to play along with Charlie for a while, aware of their true intentions. They even provided me with a helpline number. It's disheartening to think that others might fall victim to these deceptive tactics. These people should be ashamed for preying on innocent individuals. Needless to say, I'm extremely frustrated and annoyed by this whole experience.
