Got a call on my home phone from someone claiming they’d stop all my annoying calls. They even said my name, address and postcode which freaked me out a bit. I asked what the charge was, but they just said they needed the expiry date on my bank card, then they started saying the first four digits out loud! The voice said she was a supervisor called Anna or something. I quickly told them no way and ended the call. Really sneaky scam, pretty worrying. Bridget from Exmouth.

Got a call from a lady who claimed to be part of my phone provider's call blocking team - she sounded Asian. I couldn't help but chuckle; it seemed absurd, and then she just disconnected the line.

I received a phone call this evening that caught me off guard. Initially, a bloke was chatting away, and then he passed the phone to a woman. They claimed to be from a company aiming to put an end to nuisance calls or some such nonsense. Then, out of the blue, they enquired about my Visa card's expiration date. I informed them it was March 2019, and that’s when they started probing for my bank account details. I told them I was in the car and deemed the whole thing rather suspicious, and just like that, she hung up on me. Honestly, I’m fed up with these types of calls; it seems they're only after my financial information. I've cottoned onto their tactics now, though.
