Got a call that supposedly was from HMRC, said I should “click this secure link”. The link started with http, not https, and it didn’t even have anything about hmrc or gov.uk in the address. Seems like a proper scam to me.

Got a text a moment ago claiming to be from HMRC about a refund. HMRC never contacts this way. Sent the message to 60599 to report it as a scam. Don’t tap on the link, it’s dodgy.

I got a text about an HMRC refund too. The link seemed pretty real at first, but when I tried clicking on any other links for different services on the HMRC site, it just kept reloading and then asked me for my personal info. Definitely steer clear of it!
