Just got a call from HMRC saying my National Insurance Number’s been used for money laundering, like millions going through some bank accounts. They said my number popped up on papers in a left-behind car in Rio as well. The weird part is, I don't even have a driving licence or a passport!

I ignored the call but later found a voicemail from them with a robotic voice warning me that my national insurance number would be taken away if I didn’t get back to them with my case details and all that. Obviously, I just ignored the whole thing - total hassle and probably a scam.

Got a call claiming to be from National Insurance with some reference number CP11692015. They asked me to ring 2871876143. Pretty sure it's a scam since NI wouldn’t have my mobile and that number doesn’t even look like it’s from the UK. Total dodgy!

Got a dodgy call from this number, clearly a scam trying to rip you off. They left a message on my voicemail about my National Insurance number, saying I had to get back to them right away. That's a total red flag! Legit government folks don’t call out of the blue about stuff like that. Best thing is to block the number and just don’t pick up if it rings.

BEWARE! They claimed they’d been ringing me loads about some NI number scam, but I checked my phone logs and there’s no record of those calls. It’s clearly a dodgy call trying to trick you into calling back - probably some premium rate number from overseas that could cost a fortune, or worse, they want your personal or banking details. I’ve blocked the number right away!
