Got a call from this number, left a voicemail saying HMRC is going to take me to court over dodgy tax. It really gave me a fright, I’m in my seventies and it nearly made my heart skip a beat! I got a call from some robot voice claiming to be from HM Customs saying I was in some kinda trouble. These scammers are pretty sneaky, they even use the exact same voice you hear on official government sites. Don’t get fooled by this, especially if you’re older and might be more trusting. Best thing to do is just block it or report the number, don’t respond!

Somebody pretending to be from HMRC called me and somehow had loads of my personal info, which freaked me out. They said I owed tax from the past four years and accused me of ignoring their letters. Then they threatened I'd get arrested within the hour. Proper terrifying stuff.

Got a recorded call from someone claiming to be from the tax office investigation unit. I just ended the call since it felt like a scam right away. The tax department wouldn’t reach out to you with a recorded message on a mobile number, so definitely dodged a bullet there.
