Hey, just got a message saying my PayPal account has some restrictions because of suspicious activity. It said I need to sort it out by clicking this link: [#]paypalrestrictionsuk[###)/. Has anyone else seen something like this? Seems a bit dodgy to me.

I got a call from someone saying I might get a tax refund. They asked me to fill out a form to check my claim on this link: [#]calculationuk(###)/. Not sure if it’s legit or just spam. Has anyone else had this?

just got a text with the code 60599, then it sent me to the HMRC fraud hotline, bit suspicious if u ask me.

You need to report these scam calls to the police through Action Fraud if you want them to stop for good. Just search for Action Fraud on Google, then head to the police.uk website. Find the report button, then go to the phishing reports part. Scroll down past all the scam email stuff and you’ll see where to report phone scam numbers. You don’t have to sign up or anything. It’s on us to report these dodgy calls to keep everyone safe. Look after yourselves out there.

It was quite obvious they were trying to fish for my PayPal info. Luckily, Chrome flagged the site as dodgy and stopped me from going any further.

Got a message supposedly from PayPal telling me to click a link to fix my account. Ignored and deleted it straight away.

Got a text from 07312845356 at 3:03 am on 29/07/20 saying my PayPal had some weird activity and was locked with restrictions. The message told me to fix it via a link: [#Ipaypalrestrictionsuk[###)/‘. I didn’t tap the link, instead I logged into my PayPal through the usual site and everything looked fine. So I just deleted the message.

Got a text from this number pretending to be hmrc, saying I could get a refund if I clicked on a link. Seems dodgy to me, so I just deleted it without even opening the link. Most likely a scam.
