Got this dodgy text pretending to be from some government dept. It had a link, said to pop in any random name and postcode, then hit continue and it shows how much cash you're supposedly owed. I tried it again with the same details and the figure was totally different! Clearly a con, so don`t bother clicking on anything like that - it`s just a scam.

Got a text claiming to be from GOV UK, but it was a total phishing attempt. The link took me to a website that looked almost exactly like the official GOV.UK page. I tried putting in a made-up name and postcode just to test it out, and it said I was eligible for some covid payment. When I clicked through, it then asked for all sorts of personal info like National Insurance number, my address, and even bank details. Definitely a dodgy scam trying to steal your data.
