I just got conned and lost £800, can you believe it?

Got a call from someone claiming to be the "VISA fraud team" about a dodgy £800 charge on a gambling site. Thing is, I’d just looked at my credit card bill about an hour earlier. The bloke speaking had that classic posh English accent, sounded like some middle-class guy. He never said which bank he was from or asked for my name or card details. Needless to say, I didn’t press 1 to talk to anyone, and after half a minute the call just cut off. Pretty sure it was a scam.
