I got this automated call asking me to press numbers about some bogus HMRC claims said to be made in my name. They wanted to put me through to an “officer” but never actually said my name. Also, I’m pretty sure official HMRC numbers aren’t on mobiles like this. Feels like a scam to me. Seriously, don’t pick up or reply to stuff like this!

I received a call from this number, but when I answered, it was eerily silent-no chatter or even a hint of background sounds. Almost immediately, the line disconnected. Quite peculiar!

Honestly, my landline has been ringing nonstop - about five calls in just one hour! It's getting super irritating.

i got a call from this number but when i tried ringing back it just went straight to voicemail after maybe 10 seconds. some bloke or broadband company said the number was disconnected or something like that but i can’t quite remember the details. it all felt pretty odd, so not sure if it’s actually been cut off or not.
