I picked up the call but was quickly put through to a voicemail that told me I needed to follow some steps because supposedly the tax office was after me for tax evasion. I’ve not worked for over a year and before that, I had a steady job with my taxes handled properly through PAYE. Plus, I actually received a tax refund last November. This is definitely another phishing trick, they seem to be ringin’ from new numbers now - watch out!

Picked up the call and got straight to a voicemail telling me to follow some steps because I was supposedly being investigated by HMRC for tax dodging. I've not worked for over a year, before that I was on a proper PAYE job, and in fact I got a tax refund last November. Definitely a phishing scam, watch out as they're now ringing from new numbers. Everyone knows about these HMRC scams by now!
