I've recently encountered a number that belongs to a scam artist involved in what’s known as a "pig butchering" con. The premise is rather sinister: they initiate contact with a phoney "wrong number" text, luring you in and gaining your trust - that’s the 'fattening up' stage. Once they’ve got you hooked, they’ll then direct you to a completely fraudulent cryptocurrency trading platform. At this point, if you attempt to withdraw your funds, they'll fabricate all sorts of ridiculous excuses for why your money remains locked away, convincing you to invest even more in a hopeless bid to recover your losses - hence, the 'butchering' bit. This individual initially reached out to me under the name Raylee on WhatsApp, but she might have switched to Alicia W for her future targets. Stay vigilant!
