I got a voicemail claiming to be from HMRC, saying I owed money and that my national insurance and passport would be blocked. The call came through on my six year old's phone, which we only use for WhatsApp video calls with relatives abroad. Normally, I'd just ignore these calls, but this time I decided to press 1 since the phone’s pay-as-you-go with no credit, so no risk there. When I spoke to the person, I told them straight up it was a scam because there’s no way HMRC is hassling a kid that young. They ended the call pretty sharpish after that.
