Got a message saying I tried setting up a direct debit with some finance firm, supposedly from Halifax, with a dodgy link included. Thing is, I’ve never even opened a Halifax account. The link was something like [#]view-Halifx. Sounds like a straight-up scam to me!

Got a message claiming: 'Halifax: On 10/11 at 17:50 you tried setting up a Direct Debit for KL FINANCE. If that's not you, please cancel it here: [#]view-halifax[###]/' I’ve never had an account with Halifax, so this has to be some kind of scam.
