On a quiet Sunday night, I got a text that seemed like a phishing scam. It claimed to be from Halifax, saying there was some dodgy activity on my account. I do have a Halifax account, but it's got just £5 in it and I haven't touched it for a long time. After having a look at the fraud warnings on the bank's website, I noticed the message didn’t mention my name, which makes me think it’s a fake. I plan to ring Halifax tomorrow to confirm, then I’ll get rid of the message.

Got this text on a Sunday afternoon but I don’t even bank with Halifax! It said there’d been some dodgy transactions and that a payment of £213.11 was frozen. They wanted me to check my recent payees using this link: [#]mypayees-review.info/Halifax. Felt a bit off to me, definitely a scam.
