Got a call from someone saying they were with Vodafone and had a deal to lower my bill for six months. I’m not even a Vodafone customer, so I told them to quit wasting their time and maybe find a real job instead of trying to con folks.

Got a call from what sounded like a busy call centre, guy said he was from O2. He claimed I’d be getting 30% off my phone bills for six months, plus a gift hamper arriving the next day. I had to pick between a smartwatch, wireless headphones or a wireless charger. Then he asked for my email to ‘verify’ who I was. I told him O2 already has my email on file. Next, he wanted me to confirm it by giving it to him directly so I’d get a confirmation. I wasn’t having it and just hung up. Seems like the start of some scam, though not sure exactly what they’re trying to pull.
