Got a text from HSBC saying Mrs K Adams is trying to contact me with a link attached. Didn’t trust it, so just blocked and deleted straight away.

So I got a call saying I won a prize from some contest I had actually entered. They asked for my bank info, and being a bit naive, I gave it to them. Next thing I know, a big chunk of cash has disappeared from my account. Total scam!

I got a message on my phone from this number saying it was HSBC, warning me about a money transfer to some Mrs K. Adams that I hadn’t authorised. I checked with HSBC directly and they told me it’s a scam. Whatever you do, don’t click on any links in messages like that - it’s definitely fraud. Watch out!
