Got a call from 07310970424 at like 1.45 in the morning, claiming they were HMRC and saying I was owed a refund. Yeah, no thanks! I’m a traveller (gypsy), haven’t paid income tax in ages, probably over 40 years. These lot don’t know what they’re on about, they’re not just barking up the wrong tree, they’re lost in the whole forest! 😆😆

They just dont stop with these scams, do they? Blocking or deleting the number don’t seem to do any good, cause the calls and messages just keep coming. I saw someone mention on 13/09 about a way to actually put an end to it, but honestly, complaining won’t fix anything unless all of us who get these dodgy calls or texts start reporting them to the police database. That’s the only way they might actually get tracked and stopped.

Got a message just now claiming to be from PayPal with a code saying "Your confirmation code is 490236. It expires in 5 mins. If you didn't ask for this, go to https/paypal-user-id205[###]". Definitely looks dodgy to me since I haven't logged into my PayPal for ages. I’m planning to flag this up with PayPal and my mobile network, just to be safe. Avoid clicking on any links like that!

Had a call from someone pretending to be PayPal - total scam! Saw a comment recommending to report these calls, so I did the same. Don’t reckon the police will do much though unless enough people report it. Apparently, these fraudsters are making a million a week or something crazy like that. Might cause a bit of chaos for the cops’ system but hopefully it pushes them to do something. I’ve bookmarked the Action Fraud site now so I can quickly report if they ring me again.

Got a text real early at around 5am saying it was from PayPal telling me to click a link if I hadn't asked for a confirmation code.
