I sold a laptop for £340 on Gumtree UK last Friday 13th November and I'm still waiting for the payment to hit my PayPal. At first, I didn’t think it was a con, but after going through the emails again and googling their phone number, I found out he used three different names: Martel Majchrowski, Matt, and Krystian Majchrowski. He keeps saying the money will arrive by 17th November, but honestly, I doubt it now. Feeling pretty gutted for not checking the number before going through with the sale.

Got a message that looked dodgy, said it was from HSBC but the English was all over the place. It warned me about some 'unverified payee' and told me to click on a link if I wanted to cancel. Pretty sure it was a scam.

Got a text out of the blue saying it was from TSB, saying a Mrs K Adams was trying to take £240 from my account. The number looked pretty dodgy, same one folks have been warning about here. It all seemed a bit fishy to me.

Got a message from +44 7310 171392 claiming, “WARNING: Someone tried to make a Nationwide payment from a device that's new to you. If this isn’t your doing, go to [#]nationwide-transfer-support[###]” I don’t have an account with Nationwide so this has to be some sort of scam.

Got a text from +44 7310 171392 saying a payment was taken from my account and to log into my PayPal to fix it. Thing is, I’ve never even had a PayPal account 😂. Total scam, don’t click on any links! I didn’t even open it so I’m not sure exactly what it was, but it definitely feels dodgy 😅.

So, I got this random message while I was watching telly, and my dad reckoned it was probably a scam. Just to be sure, I searched the number and found out the message was supposedly from Paypal, saying something about unusual payments on my account, with a link to a 'Helpdesk' and some numbers next to it. This morning I got a message claiming it was from PayPal saying my account was going to be frozen. To unlock it, they wanted me to enter my bank details, which is odd since I don’t even use PayPal. Felt like a total scam to me.
