I got a call from some scammer pretending to be from HMRC, saying I’m due a tax refund. They’ve even made a fake site that looks just like the real HMRC one. Total con!

Got a call from someone pretending to be HMRC, telling me I had some kind of tax refund waiting. They said they’d handle it for me but also pushed me to visit their website, which looks almost exactly like the official gov.uk site. On there, they wanted all my personal info and bank details to supposedly sort out the refund. They even called themselves HMUK, trying to make it seem like they’re connected to HMRC and the government. Total scam.

Got a message about some "muk" outstanding tax refund with a link like "uktaxrebate(####]". Seems a bit dodgy to me, reckon it's one of those phishing scams trying to steal your info. Wouldn't click on it if I were you.
