07312827109 - Halifax: Got a message saying a new payee was added from a NEW DEVICE at xx:xx. If that wasn’t me, they told me to check [#]devicereview-protection.cc/ but my browser immediately blocked it, saying it’s unsafe. I looked it up and saw the domain was only registered today and comes from Panama, so it’s pretty dodgy and definitely not proper for the UK or anywhere really.

Somebody called from +44 7377 069928 saying they were from Halifax and added an M.Khalil payee to my account. They asked me to click on a link - total scam! Watch out everyone, don’t fall for it!!

Got a message on Sunday the 6th of September 2020 around 9:04pm from 07898393117. It said something about Halifax and that a new payee had been added to my account, which is weird because I don’t have an account with Halifax at all. Seems pretty dodgy to me. Feels like these scammers just keep switching their numbers but are running the same scam.

Got a message from 07310 229675 saying some new payee got added to my account. I hadn’t done a thing! My McAfee flagged it up with a warning, so I called my bank straight away. They told me it was definitely a scam and warned me not to call back or click on any links.

Got a call from someone saying they were with Halifax, but when I checked, it took me to a dodgy site that wasn’t real at all. Total scam.

Got a message saying there was a weird login attempt on my account, then it tried to send me to a site to enter my password. Definitely steer clear of this one.

Got a message from this number saying it was from Halifax. Thing is, I don’t even have an account with Halifax! Looking round on here, seems loads of others got texts from a number starting the same way and they reckon it’s a dodgy scam. The message said something like, “Halifax: A new payee was added to your account on 21/08/20. If it wasn’t you, go to [#]securehalifax[###]”. Definitely not clicking that link!
