Got a message from this number saying it was from Three, asking me to click a link to update my details. I’m pretty cautious about where I share my phone number, and the only place I’ve given it is at a local pub called The Greene Inn for Covid contact tracing. Has anyone else signed up for contact tracing and then got something similar?

Just got a text saying I made a payment to a new payee with HSBC UK. It asked me to confirm with a link that looked a bit dodgy: i#Jpayee-info info/hsbe. Definitely seems a bit fishy to me.

Got a text saying it was from HSBC UK about a “payment detected to new payee, please confirm here:” with a link attached. Obviously seemed fishy so I reported it to HSBC and blocked the number straight away. Definitely a phishing scam.

Had something really similar happen. First off, send an email to hsbe to report it. Definitely block the number straight away - you can’t be too careful. Make sure to have a good look through your bank statements too, just in case. Do NOT tap on any links they send you, that’s a big no. Also, keep a close watch on your phone bill and credit card, because they might try to add extra charges. If you spot anything off or get charged wrongly, get in touch with action fraud ASAP.

Got a call saying something about a payment sent to some new person and a website link to click on. I never made any payment like that so I just went ahead and blocked the number.
