On 12th March 2020, I got a random message from this number claiming to be from HM Revenue and Customs, including a link that looked rather suspicious and possibly fraudulent. The communication wasn’t personal at all, lacking my name, which is quite telling. If HMRC had any business to discuss, they would certainly send me an official letter instead. I’m absolutely convinced this is a scam or a ploy to infect your device with malware. I highly advise against engaging with it.

On 12 March 2020, I got a message purporting to be from HMRC, claiming that urgent action was required regarding my income tax. It even included a hyperlink. It’s blatantly a scam. Best to steer clear of that link!
