Received a couple of text messages early morning on 26th May around 5:51 am, both containing a link. Decided to look it up on Google and found out it was actually a phishing scam. Definitely don't click on that link, it's risky!

This text is totally fake, trying to get you to claim some fake tax refund! Honestly, when will these scammers ever quit bothering folks!

Got a message from them saying I had some kind of notification. They included a link about authorising a rebate. Turned out to be a bogus government site. Definitely looks like a scam, so I wouldn’t click on that link.

I got a message saying there was a notification for me. The text included a link about some kind of rebate approval. When I checked it out, it looked like a dodgy government site, definitely a scam. Best to avoid clicking on the link.
