Got a voicemail from this number saying it was HMRC threatening legal action unless I pressed 1 when calling back. Luckily, I recognised it as a scam and didn’t bite. Now I’ve gone and blocked the number and wiped it off my phone.

They rang me up and it was pretty clear they were trying to pull a scam on me. Not happy about that at all.

This number rang me up claiming to be from HMRC, wanting my personal details and threatening some kind of action. When I asked how could I be sure they were really from the tax office and requested a number to check back with, they just cut off the call! Really suspicious behaviour if you ask me.
