Got a call from this number claiming there’s some sort of hmrc fraud investigation about me and telling me to call back on another line. Definitely fishy, I know hmrc wouldn’t handle things like this through phone calls like that. Total scam.

I got a message from this number that said it was from HMRC about a tax refund. They even encouraged me to click on a dodgy link they provided, which was obviously a scam and had a bit.ly address. It's as blatant a scam as you can get!

Got a message from someone pretending to be HMRC saying I could claim a tax refund by clicking on https;/nmrtaxrefund[###]/. It’s definitely not from the real HMRC. Anyone who’s ever had to deal with HMRC knows the legit site is www.gov.uk, and they’d never send you a text about a refund like that. Just ignore it, block the number and report it to HMRC as a phishing scam!

I received an attempted scam purporting to be from HMRC, urging me to visit https://hmrtaxrefund.com/ to supposedly claim my tax rebate. Let me be clear, this is definitely not from HMRC. Anyone with even a modicum of experience dealing with HMRC would be aware that their official website is www.gov.uk. They would never inform you of a tax refund via a text message.

Got a txt from this number saying they were from HMRC offering a tax refund. The msg told me to click on a dodgy link - httpsi/hmrtaxrefund{[###] . Do yourself a favour and block it straight away.
