Got a call from this number claiming there’s some sort of hmrc fraud investigation about me and telling me to call back on another line. Definitely fishy, I know hmrc wouldn’t handle things like this through phone calls like that. Total scam.

Got a message from this number saying it's HMRC about some tax refund. They tried getting me to tap on some link they sent, which was dodgy and had a bit.ly address. Totally obvious scam, no doubt about it!

Got a message from someone pretending to be HMRC saying I could claim a tax refund by clicking on https;/nmrtaxrefund[###]/. It’s definitely not from the real HMRC. Anyone who’s ever had to deal with HMRC knows the legit site is www.gov.uk, and they’d never send you a text about a refund like that. Just ignore it, block the number and report it to HMRC as a phishing scam!

Got a text supposedly from HMRC saying I should go to https://hmrtaxrefund.com/ to get a tax refund. Total scam. If you’ve ever had to speak with HMRC, you’ll know their official website is www.gov.uk - they don’t send messages like that claiming you’re owed money. Definitely don’t trust those dodgy links.

Got a txt from this number saying they were from HMRC offering a tax refund. The msg told me to click on a dodgy link - httpsi/hmrtaxrefund{[###] . Do yourself a favour and block it straight away.
