Got a message saying there was a new payee added for a Mr. C Jones on my HSBC mobile app. I don't even have an account with HSBC! Looked a bit dodgy so I reckon it's a scam. They had a weird link like security.hnsbe.theconfirmlink[###} - definitely not clicking that!

Got a message about a new payee called mr c jones being added to my account via the hsbc app. I never did this, so I checked the link they sent, which seemed fishy. Totally a scam, don’t fall for it!

Got a text from “HSBC” saying there’s a new payee setup for Mr Jones on my account via the mobile app. It looked dodgy so I checked the link, which had a warning about being suspicious before it redirected. Honestly, I’d steer clear of clicking anything like that, it smells like a scam to me.
