I got a text saying "morning dad x", so I answered with "this my new number, save it x". Then I asked "who's this? I'm not your dad". After that, no more messages came through.

They called and I answered with "Hi Dad, it's me, a woman." I then said I must have changed my number or something because this felt like a scam. They told me to keep their number saved, but I told them maybe they should think about switching jobs instead.
