Absolutely dodgy call! I went ahead and informed HMRC about it. Just so you know, HMRC doesn't make calls like this. If you get a call like that, just hang up straight away and let HMRC know. Don't waste your time replying.

Just got a call saying there’s a claim filed against me for fraud and tax issues, they even asked for my lawyer’s contacts!

Got two calls from some sort of tax scam, with a pre-recorded voice that sounded all official. When I picked up the first time, they just hung up, but the second time they left a message with a number to ring back. Pretty dodgy stuff.

I got a call around 8 in the morning but missed it. Tried ringing back at just after 9, but it went straight to voicemail. When I checked the message, it was all automated and asked me to ring the number again. Definitely feels like a scam, so I’ll be blocking it for sure.

Got two calls earlier today, pretty clear it was a scam.

A bloke with a proper English accent claimed he was from the HMRC investigation team and told me to ring the number given straight away. Sounds like a total scam to me.
