Back on 04/04/20, I got a message saying there was a new payee set up for a Mr C. Jones on my HSBC account. Thing is, I don’t have, and never had, an HSBC account at all. The text then told me to go to a 'security' page linked to HSBC if I hadn’t made that request. I didn’t click anything and I’d strongly recommend avoiding it too - it’s obviously a dodgy scam.
