Phone number ☎️ 07306238253 👆 is reported as a scam involving fake O2 messages warning of account or payment issues. The callers or texters attempt to extract sensitive bank details, specifically sort codes and account numbers, which genuine O2 communications would not request. The impersonation includes convincing imitation websites and phishing links. Multiple users confirmed the alerts were fraudulent by contacting O2 directly. The scam targets mainly debit card holders, as credit card payments offer better protection and can be cancelled. Recipients are advised to remain vigilant, avoid clicking links, and never share banking information in such circumstances. No genuine O2 service disruptions correspond to these messages, and the number is linked exclusively to deceptive activity.

5 yearsI got a text saying I had to update my 02 account info or my service would be stopped. Problem is, I’m not even with 02!5 yearsSeems like they're fishing for debit card info, probably to dip into your bank account. They kept asking for sort code and account number, which you don't need for credit card payments. I reckon that's because it's easier to reverse credit card charges, so scammers can't really profit. The fake O2 site they made looked pretty legit, I must say. Not sure if they’ve been shut down yet, but I hope so and no one got scammed. Maybe I'm just hoping too much. I wasn’t super cautious at first, but since I always pay O2 with my credit card (which has good buyer protection), I didn’t give out my debit card info - which honestly isn't well protected. Plus, the details wouldn’t work without entering the sort code and account number. After that, I called O2 myself and they confirmed it was definitely a scam.5 yearsGot a message claiming they were O2 and there was an issue with my bill, sent me a link as well.
