Got a call from someone claiming to be DPD saying I'd missed a parcel and needed to pay a small fee (£1 or £3) for redelivery. I was expecting a DPD delivery at the time, so it nearly fooled me. #####WATCH OUT! THIS IS A FRAUD##### Early this morning around 6:15 am, I received a message supposedly from DPD telling me I'd missed a delivery. They said I needed to pay £3 to get it sent the next day or £1 for weekend delivery. The link included directed me to a site called “plan-ref.info”, which both Google and Safari flagged as a scam. Definitely don't trust anything from this number!

Got a bogus text in the early hours warning me about a message at just after one in the morning, and then another one at 6:36am saying it was from DPD saying they tried to drop off a parcel (as if, who delivers then?). It asked me to set up a new delivery but the link looked dodgy and there were no parcel details at all. Pretty clear to me it’s a scam. This definitely wasn’t a genuine DPD message. Also, watch out because these scammers can fake numbers using apps, so don't be fooled!

Somebody here mentioned reporting to 'action fraud', so I looked it up myself. First, I had to google 'action fraud' and ended up on the police.uk website. I clicked on the reporting tab, but it took a bit of fiddling with the dropdown menu before I found the right option. Eventually, I landed on the phishing report page where, at the bottom, you can submit your details. It was pretty straightforward from there and didn’t take long at all. You just paste the suspicious link into the free text box on the second page. Best part? No need to sign up or anything.
