This morning, my landline rang but the answering machine just caught silence, no message was left. After a recent massive data leak, a ton of my personal details got exposed. I’m now stuck changing over 100 passwords and dealing with loads of nuisance calls on my phone. It’s such a hassle. I’m really trying to stop any identity theft happening because hackers have totally breached my security. My local council hasn’t given any info or guidance, which is really frustrating!

Got a call from 01611253352 claiming I was involved in fraud with HMRC, said to press 1 for the 'PU option' or I'd be arrested shortly. Sounded fishy to me!

I reckon it was one of those telemarketer calls. As soon as I picked up, the person started talking about some amazing deals they wanted to share. I asked what kind of offers and he replied that he'd only explain once I gave him my name, age and address. There's no way I gave him that info!

Someone rang me asking for a Mr John Paul Hoy. As soon as I heard the name, I knew it was a scam and just ended the call straight away.

I got a call from someone saying they wanted to improve my call blocking service with BT, which I don't even have. Then they went on about how they weren’t some pesky telemarketer!
