Got a call from someone claiming to be my mum, saying she’d accidentally dropped her phone in the toilet. Then they quickly asked if I could sort out a payment for them. Totally a scam, don’t trust it or share info with this number. Always ring your family directly on their own number to be sure.

Got a call from 07305277945 - some lad saying their phone took a swim in the bog or whatever. Told them I’m their dad but don’t buy it. Decided to mess about and gave them the name Jack Osbourne just for the laugh. Playing the game their way, you know?

I sent my mum a message saying “Hi mum, my phone just fell in the loo.” Seems like some sort of scam, not really sure what they were after.

Got a message saying "Dad, it’s me. I accidentally flushed my phone, so I’ll be on this number for a bit." I asked which daughter it was, giving both their names. Then I messaged my girls using their old numbers to check if anyone had lost their phone - neither had. Pretty clear that was a scam. When the same number later asked me for a favour, I figured it was about money. So I just blocked it.
