He then started going on about some fault with my solar panels at 5 in the afternoon and offered to send an engineer to fix it. He went on with all sorts of technical nonsense and got quite rude when I questioned how the system could show an error if it wasn’t hooked up to the internet.Gavin2 yearsToday at about 6.15, someone phoned me saying there’s a problem with my inverter. They mentioned an engineer would be coming around tomorrow. The caller claimed they could tell because everything’s logged online or something.2 yearsSomebody rang me saying the company that makes my solar panel inverter had spotted a fault at 3:15 this afternoon and that an engineer would be coming by tomorrow to check the setup. It all sounded quite convincing, but the thing is, my inverter doesn’t have any kind of monitoring system, and the caller couldn’t even name the manufacturer properly. I told him I didn’t buy it and ended the call.
