Got a text that looked like it was from Halifax about some transaction, then they gave me a ring. When I asked for more details, I told them I’d just call Halifax myself to check. That really annoyed them and next thing I know, they’re swearing at me! Halifax service doesn’t seem as good as it used to be, lol.

It was almost certainly a scam tied to bank fraud. They said they were from Lloyds Bank’s fraud team and told me my card had been charged in Scotland, saying they were blocking the transaction because it looked fishy. They asked me to provide a code they supposedly sent me. I didn’t fall for it and ended the call right away! I then contacted my bank and thankfully found no suspicious activity.

Got a call from someone claiming they were from my bank's fraud dept. Asked for a code, but I didn’t give it to them and just ended the call. Sounds like a total scam, watch out!

TOTAL SCAM!!! Someone phoned me pretending to be from the Halifax fraud department. They asked if I’d noticed some suspicious payments on my account and said they’d send me a text with a code to prove the transactions weren’t mine. Don’t fall for it and never share the code, it’s just a trick to steal money. Definitely report these calls straight to Action Fraud.
