Got a call from this number saying they lost their phone and it’s “mum” calling. Totally a scam, don’t fall for it! Just block and report it straight away.

I got a weird message from 07752 027213 saying "hi mum I've broken my phone" and asking me to text my number to 07300 349542. Instead of texting back, I gave the original number a ring and it was some sort of machine sounding like a fax or modem. Just a heads up, don’t send texts to numbers you don’t know because sometimes just you sending a text means you’re agreeing to charges on your phone bill. It’s kinda like those TV or radio voting texts or prize competitions. Watch out for that!

Got a message from 07752771545 that looked dodgy. It said something like, "Hi Mum, I've broken my phone so using a mate's phone. It's almost dead tho. Can you text me on 07300349542 instead?" Felt like a bit of a scam to me.
