Received an automated phone call claiming we'd signed up for a year’s subscription to Amazon, insisting we speak with a manager. They connected us to a woman who urged us to hop onto our laptop. When we mentioned that she should ring us back, she abruptly hung up. She was blabbering on about siphoning £99 from our bank for this subscription, but we’ve been Amazon members for ages, and it only sets us back £7.99 a month! Quite the dodgy tactic, if you ask me.
