I just had an unsettling encounter with a caller claiming to represent Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs. They insisted that I was somehow implicated in some dubious tax fraud and went on to assert that eleven individuals had access to my bank account! It was all a bit overwhelming, particularly when they spoke at lightning speed, making it difficult to catch the details about this alleged court case they mentioned. To top it off, the number flashed up as ‘potential fraud’ on my phone, and I can’t find any record of it being registered anywhere. Quite sodding dodgy, if you ask me!
