I just got a dodgy automated call supposedly from HMRC today. The number was 07243101177, and they were all threats about arresting me if I didn't cough up some fine. Apparently, if I didn't pay up, a warrant would be issued for my arrest! Just a heads up, HMRC never conducts their business this way. It’s best not to press 1 if you get a similar call. The media recommends steering clear of any arguments with these scammers, so just hang up and avoid getting tangled in their nonsense.
