Today, I received a call from one of eight different numbers all claiming that my National Insurance Number had been compromised. They directed me to speak with an operator, but I've got to say, it's clearly a CON. HMRC are indeed aware of this scam, and they've urged people to report such nonsense. I verified the information by reaching out to HMRC directly, so I can confirm without a doubt that this is a total SCAM.
