Just like the others said, I got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming she was from Windows. She told me my computer was apparently sending out harmful emails or something. I told her it was a scam, which she wouldn’t admit to, but when I called her a thief, she got really annoyed.

For sure a SCAM... Woman with an Asian accent said the same thing about my computer being from Windows. I just said i aint on a PC its my phone and hung up. Would be easier to report these if Unknownphone.com didnt keep bombarding with pop-ups right while you try to comment.

I got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming to be from Windows support. She told me there was some kind of issue with my PC sending out harmful messages to people worldwide. She rattled off a bunch of numbers, saying they were tied to my computer, and asked me to switch it on to check. I quickly saw it was dodgy, so I said no, that number doesn’t match. Then she asked what number I saw, but I told her to buzz off, sure she was just trying to scam me. Honestly, she should find a real job instead of scaring people into handing over their info. Unsurprisingly, she just hung up.

Had this happen quite a few times now, told the lady I don't own a computer but she kept insisting otherwise and arguing with me.

Got a call at 1:41pm from a woman speaking with an Indian accent, sounded like she was from some call centre. She was trying to convince me there was a problem with my Microsoft Windows account. I knew straight away it was a scam, so I played along, pretending to follow her tech instructions (even though I was just sat back in my chair). She got really annoyed when I didn’t give her the info she wanted. After about five minutes I just told her I was onto her - that she was a scammer. She actually denied it! Anyway, I’ve blocked the number now.

Got a call this evening around 6:55 from a lady with a funny accent, asking my missus if she could talk to me, the one who's always on the computer. My wife told her I wasn’t around, and the caller just said ‘I’ll call back tomorrow’. Even if she does, she won't get through, since I’ve blocked that number!
